Ugly support column in the middle of my living room...?
I have an ugly '70s style', spindle-looking support column in the middle of my living room. Is there an inexpensive and creative way to make it 'blend' more with the room? The decor I have now is kind of an old world "art nouveau" look with a lot of wrought iron scrollwork pieces (lamps, wall hangings, etc...). The colors are sage green (furniture), persimmon (walls) and cream (window coverings). Also, the column is cream right now...should I paint it to match the walls?
Depending on how big the column is they have colums that will fit over plain columns and give it more style to your room. Check with Home Depot and Lowes they should be able to help you
