In need of a re-decor opinion, ideas welcome?
In my dark bedroom I just had new carpet installed. It's a darker shade of tan, almost brown. It's a small room with wood ceiling. Problem is...wood grain paneling for the walls. My Plan:
I would love to paint the paneling, a cream or country white. How would this look with the dark wood ceiling and the carpet. I want the grooves in the paneling to make it look more country. I also bought 3 curtain panels in the color chocolate thinking it would look nice. Right now I have tan sheets, but no theme per-say for the room. I would like to keep it simple. I would love a micro suede down blanket to make it more homey. I just need reassurance on this project? Any ideas, suggestions? What kind of frames or wall hangings should i use then. Would black be out of the question?

You 'd like simplicity. Since it's a bedroom, you would use calming colors, beige, tan are in already, paneling is a big area , so a creamy color would suit the rest w/o overpowering, and pleasant, can't go wrong w/ it. As to accessories, comforter colour choice ? beige undertone with almost no pattern but with muted olive or dusty salmon just to give a lift to the all beige theme. Black isn't out of the question, as long as it's a small part to give an accent. Are you thinking about the headboard ? Fabric covered one gives a comforting look and prevents from banging your head, you know what I mean ? I like simplicity too, Headboard can be functional as well as a wall decor, so you can reduce the number of wall pictures. Two peaceful landscapes would be advisable you can introduce other soothing colours to add to the room w/o being the main focus to the room. The subject is the bed, for it is the main theme of the room. All the others are to complement the bed decor, IMO. Hope his helps.
