wall art collage
ART, Help on designing bedroom art?
Okay, So i'm like 14.
My rooms pretty boring, blue walls, pinkcurtains, green carpet! -pukes!-
I want it to look cool, with the help of my own and others ideas!
Unfortunatly, my dad has no time to re-decorate it the way i want, black walls, bamboo flooring...
So...I'm pretty much the type of girl who's into rock music, with acception to Tokio Hotel, a popular german pop band!
I'm also into modelling, and by the time i'm 16, i plan on signing up for Models1 London.
So...I was thinking of making loads of big posters to put up in my room of things i love, but mostly collages and such.
Example? Loads of pictures of Models from my 'grazia' magazine! Making a massive collage poster out of them onto a1 or even bigger sheet of paper! Well...the biggest i can find!
Anyone else got cool ideas? THANKS!
I know its especially hard when you don't know me so well...
You are certainly on the right path. Use wall paper paste to attach your posters. You can use plain or colored paper or even muslin (cheap cotton--$1/yrd) to cover the walls and paint over it if your dad doesn't want you painting the walls. Fabric can be applied to the ceiling as well. Check out some Moroccan Style as well. It goes great with goth/rock and will create a world traveler feel. Invest in good bed linens-- Silks and 300+ count cotton sheeting. You can cover the carpet as well or rip it out (very easy to do). Carpet stores sell left over remnants so measure your room and get a large enough piece. Plain Burlap fabric will work too. Or a nice rug to minimize the green. Hit the thrift stores and friends. Bring stuff people throw out back to life with cans of spray paint. Stick to any and everything you like-- you can't go wrong. Good Luck with the modeling.
