Was the sex of your kids all boys or all girls?

I have 3 boys and am pregnant. My mother in law has all grandsons. 10 to be exact. No granddaughters. What are the odds that I could be having a girl since I have already had 3 boys? Thanks!

Well scientifically, it's a 50/50 shot no matter what your other children are..My mom had 3 girls and 4 boys, but her grandma ended up with 7 sons, but then those sons had more girls than. I just think it's all luck of the draw really... How far along are you? I know this is considered an old wives tale, but they say you can get a good guess at the gender by the baby's heart rate. 130's a boy, 160's a girl. Wives tale or not it worked for both my 3 cousins, my mom's pregnancies, my sister-in-law's pregnancy.

What Kind of Toys Should I Buy For My Kids This Christmas?

It's that time of year again. Christmas is just around the corner.  As a mother of two, I have to start thinking about what to buy for them this Christmas. My little boy is 6 and my little girl is 4. Kids this age don't care much about anything else except toys. What kind of toys should I buy for my kids this Christmas? I have to go with the trend. I did some research and found the lists of best selling toys for boys and girls last year. It is most likely that this trend will continue.

What Will Be  the Best Selling Christmas Toys 2009

The Ben 10 Series was chosen as the toy of the year 2008 by the Toy Retailer Association. In 2007, the award went to a set of toys from In the Night Garden. The popular theme tends to be a toy associated with a well-known children's TV character. This pattern is likely to repeat itself in 2009. Toys connected to television characters have an advantage over other toys because kids are familiar and can identify with them.

Rubik cube was the top choice as the best puzzle on the market in 2007. Its popularity didn’t slow down and was still going strong right up until  Christmas 2008. In fact, it was on the best selling toy list for Amazon last year. Rubik cube is an old toy but still holds a fascination for adults and children of all ages.

As toys for girls, Sylvannian figures and houses won awards in 2007 and 2008 consecutively. Girls love these cute collectible animals which have a wide range of accessories. I am confident that they will again be on the best selling list for girls, just like lego which will be the best selling construction toy for boys.

If you are a mom, I hope you’ll have a general idea as to what to buy for your kids this Christmas. Shopping online is wonderful because it saves you a lot of time and money. You often find bargains, discounts, coupons and other giveaways that you don't usually find when you go shopping in person. Take your time comparing the deals from several websites. You don't need to make a decision quickly because you may regret it later when you find a better deal somewhere else.
