Inexpensive, easy children's wall art...?
I need to decorate the wall of a baby nursery (at a church). It's a very large area so im not looking for little framed pictures, something bigger. Im not into whinnie the pooh, or anything like that. Also not into pastel colors. I want something bright.
Any ideas?
See if any of the parishioners have or can get a projector that you can borrow. You can project images on the wall and paint them quite easily. I am sure there are others in the church that would volunteer to help.
Get a large (LARGE) collage photo frame, and put photographs in it of children in the church, and other church members. Children-even babies-love to look at pictures, and they would be thrilled to have their picture displayed at church.
Cut out pictures from old magazines to display, either by themselves or in a collage. God's creations-flowers, animals, nature, etc.
Put up a line across one wall, and you can buy small clips and simply hang children's drawings and coloring book pages clothes-line style. You can also hang a list of contact numbers for the nursery keepers, a schedule of who is in the nursery when, and a list of any special needs for the children (allergies, medications, etc.).
Focus on what the children will like-bright colors, patterns, etc. and focus on the fact that it is a church nursery, so it needs to be appropriate. I believe that all of what I have suggested will work.
